Job description:
To create, web based products and tools. The role also includes maintaining our product range to keep them functional and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
- To assist in the planning and specification phases of projects;
- Create well structured and commented code;
- Use source control (git / subversion);
- Deliver projects within agreed timescales that meet the specifications;
- Where required to document the development work on each project;
- Work closely with other members of the team to ensure specifications and expectations are met;
- Maintain products in the light of client requests, support issues and changes in technology;
- Update bug tracking or project management systems, including reporting on hours spent on each task / project;
- Report progress and issues to the Project Manager;
- Keep up to date with current web technologies;
- Adopting best practice with regard to web technologies (e.g. usability, security etc.);
- Constantly strive to improve company performance and processes;
- Carry out other tasks requested by Management where these are agreed to be reasonable and achievable;
- Contribute to a positive view of SDP’s technical competence;
Required Skills
- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline;
- Good written and spoken English ;
- Ability to work in teams or alone;
- Good knowledge of ASP.NET 2.0, ASP.NET 3.5;
- Good knowledge of XHTML, CSS(2.1, 3) , CSS image sprites;
- Good knowledge JavaScript, jQuery;
- Knowledge of current Web technologies is a plus.
Desirable Skills
- C# programming, WCF understanding, OOP understanding.
